AOF refers to the 'action' a director or producer takes to create his or her vision and the 're-action' to that work by the audience. Action On Film has championed filmmakers, writers and producers who have been marginalized by the mainstream. This group includes women, minority, student and filmmakers who make non-traditional faire or find it difficult to be seen. And with over $125,000.00 in Cash, prizes, awards and gifts handed out every season, we really put our money where our mouths are.

And while we do show Action films, shorts, docs and scenes, we also specialize in showcasing great Dramas, Comedies, Documentaries, Experimental Work, Music Videos and more. Our Writers Divisions and Awards are unlike any other and our focus is on the individual filmmaker, producer, writer and performer.
